Searching for a gift that’s more than just a pretty piece of jewelry? Curious about crystal healing but don’t know where to begin?

For part one of our crystal guide we are going to be looking at the gemstones I use in my designs for crescent & crow.

Read on to learn the basics of some of my favorite stones.

Black Agate: A stone for grounding, protection, and emotional balance. Black agate will help strengthen self-confidence and provide you with courage in difficult times.

Blue Lace Agate: A soothing stone to encourage peace, happiness, and expression. Blue lace agate helps to unblock old patterns of fear of judgement and rejection, opening you up to express your true self.

Moss Agate: Attract abundance of all kinds. Moss agate helps you to release any fears that may be  holding you back, replacing them with the energy, self-esteem, and self-expression  needed to reach your goals and invite abundance in.

Amazonite is a calming stone. It eases worry and fear and enhances love and communication. Use amazonite when you need to see both sides of an issue objectively for a peaceful resolution. It is also helpful in protecting from electromagnetic pollution.

A stone of motivation; carnelian grounds you in your present reality and boosts your energy, self-confidence, and creativity. It helps calm anger and emotional negativity, helping you to trust yourself.

Garnet protects you from, and clears, negative energy. It helps to regenerate the body and balance energy as needed, bringing strength, courage, and self-confidence. Garnet is considered a lucky stone for love and success.

Hematite is an excellent stone for grounding, protection, and healing. It helps draw illness out and harmonizes your mind, body, and spirit. Hematite dissolves negative energy and enhances willpower.

Looking to strengthen your intuition? Iolite can help. It clears your thoughts and connects you to your intuition and inner knowing, helping you to find your truest self. Iolite is also helpful in understanding and releasing any negative addictions you may have.

Thought as a ‘Stone of Magic’, labradorite brings thoughts and messages from the unconscious mind to the conscious, stimulating and strengthening your intuition. Labradorite protects from negative energy, helping rid you of any fears and insecurities. It will calm an overactive mind and energize the imagination, allowing in new ideas.

lapis lazuli

Lapis is all about wisdom and truth. It encourages self-awareness and self-expression without compromising, helping you to know and express your true self. Lapis lazuli also helps release stress to bring a sense of peace and provides protection from negative energies.

With its strong connection to the moon, moonstone encourages restful sleep and lucid dreaming. It promotes intuition and empathy. Moonstone is calming and soothing, helping to heal the emotions, as well as balancing the male and female energies within us.

While not actually a crystal, pearls do offer some healing benefits. They are calming and balancing to our bodies and minds and have long been known as a symbol of wisdom, loyalty, and love.

Pink opal

Pink opal will open your heart and enhance your self-worth allowing you to understand your full potential. It helps us look within, strengthening our connection with our inner selves, teaching us to trust ourselves and our hearts.

Tiger’s Eye

Tiger’s eye is a protective stone. Carry or wear it to protect against negative energy. Tiger’s eye is excellent for promoting mental balance, helping you to separate what you want from what you really need. Known for promoting wealth, it unblocks creativity, eases self-criticism, and strengthens self-worth making it beneficial in achieving your goals. You can also use it to bring luck and good fortune into your home.
